We have officially entered week two of The Voice, which means we’re just hours away from another night of exciting blind auditions.
Since Carson just so happens to host the singing competition, he decided to treat us with a preview of what we’re going to see tonight!
“I think our family of coaches will continue to grow throughout the years as long as the show stays on, so Christina may be back next year,” Carson explained. “It’s not like they’re fired and hired over there. It’s a family that we’re building.”
Now onto tonight’s episode. Expect to see some great country artists, which you think would favor Blake Shelton, but he shouldn’t get too cocky because the rest of the coaches are refusing to back down!
“Adam is hellbent on trying to steal away a great country artist,” Carson said. “It would give him great satisfaction to do that and Usher and Shak want to do the same. So, you’ll see Blake really on the hot seat and what I can tell you about tonight’s episode is that one of them is successful by the end of the show.”
Monday’s blind auditions also feature a second chance at redemption. During season three, we were introduced to 16-year-old Garrett Gardner, a talented singer whose father had recently passed away. Despite Christina Aguilera calling him a “cutie pie,” none of the coaches turned around for his performance.
“When I spoke to him last season, he was doing it for dad. He didn’t get a chair to turn, but he’s back now and in that last year as I re-interviewed him for season four, he really understood that you can’t do it for dad. He’s got to do it for him.”
