Rumors have been swirling for the past few weeks about who will be hosting NBC’s The Tonight Show.

Insiders had leaked that the network was considering replacing current host Jay Leno with comedian Jimmy Fallon, but executives say that’s not happening any time soon.

Nevertheless, you can imagine things would be pretty awkward between Leno and Fallon, but that’s not the case!

The two hosts teamed up last night for a slightly strange duet during the opening of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Sung to the tune of West Side Story’s “Tonight,” the duo addressed all the drama.

“In the news all they say is I’m replacing you, they think I can woo the demo,” Fallon sings.

“So the network says here’s an idea, pack your bags, take a hike, NBC-ya,” Leno responds.

Leno stirs the pot even more, “Tonight, tonight, I’ve got Fox on the line, or maybe I could take over for Dave.”

In the end, they joke, “Tonight, tonight. Who cares who hosts Tonight? People just watch online the next day!”

According the The Hollywood Reporter, the whole skit was Fallon’s idea and his producers flew out to Los Angeles to record Leno’s part.
