Here’s how it went down. Seena and I met up with Elizabeth, our guide from Tropical Queensland Tourism and headed over to Australia Skydive group to meet our personal skydiving guides. Let’s just say that the massive rainforest looked like a small patch of green grass and the ocean looked like a puddle of water (maybe like a big puddle of water :)) We were even ABOVE the clouds!
With no chance to really think about what was going to happen, we had our feet dangling out of the helicopter and we were off! We were soaring over Cairns like birds with our arms spread open laughing and yelling in disbelief that what we were doing couldn’t possibly be real life. Seriously though, as awesome as skydiving in general is…the cherry on top is skydiving OVER the Great Barrier Reef. That’s the most amazing part!
After the adrenaline died down, Seena and I decided to keep things mellow and do what we do best. Shop. I bought a boomerang and some of our local friends taught me how to use it. I’m definitely a natural. Natural at not catching boomerangs that is. We also explored the Cairns Esplanade, which is so rad!
