Bruno Mars released his newest single entitled “Treasure.” The song, which was produced by The Smeezingtons (the production trio that includes himself, Ari Levine and Philip Lawrence), comes on the heels of “When I Was Your Man.”
“Treasure” sounds very much like an older Michael Jackson track. It features bits and pieces of auto-tune, which comes as a surprise since his last single was practically an acoustic performance. Apparently, these are the kinds of changes you should expect from the eclectic “Lock Out of Heaven” singer. “I listen to a lot of music, and I want to have the freedom and luxury to walk into a studio and say, ‘Today I want to do a hip-hop, R&B, soul or rock record,'” Mars told Billboard in an interview last year.
What’s Bruno up to these days? Well, he’s getting ready for the Moonshine Jungle Tour that kicks off on June 22nd.
The single is available on iTunes.
