Daft Train: Surfer Stephen’s Viral Video Of The Day

Soul Train was a rad music TV show hosted by the late and great Don Cornelius, which first aired in 1971.

The show featured many different genres of music from R&B, soul, and hip hop to funk, jazz, disco, and gospel.

I dig searching through Soul Train’s archives on YouTube. You can find super old performances and interviews from artists like the Beastie Boys, Madonna, Run DMC, and so many more.

We’ve talked about this resurgence of the funk/disco sound in music on the morning show from artists like JT, Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, and of course, Daft Punk.

One popular feature of the show was the “Soul Train Line,” where dancers would line up and break it down with some sick dance moves of the day. Well, somebody out there in internet land put two and two together and gave us “Daft Train.”

Check it out for today’s Viral Video of the Day.
