Besides the defending champion Los Angeles Kings playing for a return trip to the Stanley Cup Finals, LA sports fans haven’t had much to cheer about lately.

The Lakers had a joke of a season, coming nowhere near the pre-season hype over their all-star roster and Kobe Bryant suffering a terrible season-ending injury.

There was, however, some hope for the Dodgers that came with their new ownership overseen by Magic Johnson and friends, but it’s gotten off to a slow start with a record of 25-32.

Last night, however, brought a breath of fresh air and hopes for a new Los Angeles superstar. Cuban sensation Yasiel Puig made his second start in Dodger blue and boy, did he do it in unbelievable fashion.

The right-handed, 6’3″, 245-pound, 22-year-old outfielder is a beast of a man…I’m mean, he’s huge. He could play middle linebacker for any team in the NFL with that size!

Puig single-handedly reinvigorated the energy and excitement the Dodgers have lacked this season with the swing of a his bat.

Let’s check out the hope for a new, young LA superstar, Yasiel Puig’s two-homer game from last night at Chavez Ravine for today’s Viral Video of the Day.
