Miss Teen South Carolina 2007 goes down in history as one of the most epic beauty pageant meltdowns ever, but it looks like she’s got some new competition.

During Sunday night’s Miss USA show, Miss Utah’s fumble during the Q&A session instantly went viral.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes posed the following question to Marissa Powell: “A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?”

Powell’s subsequent response was pretty darn cringe-worthy!

Here’s the transcript in case the video was a little unclear…

“I think we can relate this back to education and how we are continuing to try to strive to…”

This is when she realizes she has no idea what she’s talking about, “…figure out how to create jobs right now,” she continued.

“That is the biggest problem, and I think especially the men are seen as the leaders of this, and so we need to try to figure out how to create education better so that we can solve this problem. Thank you.”

Um, what?

All jokes aside, Powell still managed to snag third runner-up. No, we’re not kidding.

And just to refresh your memory, here’s a look back at Miss Teen South Carolina’s memorable moment:
