Carson is turning the big 4-0 on Saturday and while we would love to throw him a blowout shindig, we recently found out something surprising about our host with the most.
He hates birthday parties thrown in his honor!
Carson has specifically asked to keep the hoopla to a minimum, but that didn’t stop his girlfriend from arranging a little get-together last night.
“Here’s my question,” he said to Producer Angie Thursday morning. “Can you be mad at somebody you love for doing something that you told them not to do, but they did it anyway out of the goodness of their heart?”
Siri had tricked Carson into going out to dinner with his parents and children, only to find out that once he got there, more of his friends and family were eagerly waiting.
“Never in my life, for the many years I’ve been on this earth, have I been a birthday person. I’m not a birthday guy. If it’s your birthday, I love birthdays, don’t get me wrong,” he explained. “It’s because I don’t want to inconvenience people. It’s [Wednesday] night, traffic is so bad in LA.”
Siri rented out a private room and surprised Carson with a 30-minute video montage of birthday messages from all his friends and family.
“I mean, everybody in my life, professionally and personally! It was amazing. I was fighting back the tears.”
So all’s well that ends well, right? Well, it sounds like there are still more surprises in store.
“When I left this morning, [Siri] goes, ‘Alright, you’re going to kill me, but tomorrow night I need you at the house at 6 o’clock and that’s all I can tell you.”
Dun, dun, dunnnnnn…can’t wait to hear what that’s all about!
