Bonnie McKee Lands Katy Perry, Kiss & More In ‘American Girl’ Video

Bonnie McKee may not be a well-known name to the average person, but she’s very well known among their favorite pop stars. As a songwriter, McKee’s had a hand in writing massive hits: Katy Perry’s “California Gurls,” “Last Friday Night,” “Part Of Me,” “Teenage Dream” and “Wide Awake”; Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite,” Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me,” Ke$ha’s “C’mon”; and album tracks for Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera and Adam Lambert.

That’s precisely why it’s no huge surprise to see a cast of famous faces, including Katy Perry (who tweeted about the video, “Want to see me in bed in my pj’s?”) and Ke$ha, show up in McKee’s new video for “American Girl.”

More unexpected? When Kiss popped in on the action for no apparent reason.
