Same-sex marriages resumed Friday evening, but since it was announced so late in the day, only a few lucky couples were able to tie the knot.

The city of West Hollywood couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the LGBT victory, so during a six-hour window for today only, it is waiving the marriage ceremony fee if you get hitched in its council chambers.

From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., all couples with a marriage license can get married for free at the West Hollywood Library at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard.

WeHo is also providing a free shuttle service from the city to the nearest county registrar-recorder branch at 9355 Burton Way in Beverly Hills. The office issues marriage licenses from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

But wait…there’s more! West Hollywood is offering validated parking at its West Hollywood Library Parking Garage.

For more information, visit www.weho.org or call the city’s marriage hotline at (323) 848-6869.
