Cronut Craze Comes To Los Angeles
Attention: Carson Daly wants some cronuts and he wants them NOW.
What’s that, you say? You’ve never heard of a cronut? The croissant-donut hybrid is the latest breakfast fad to sweep the nation. It’s also been dubbed a doughssant.
The craze originated in New York City. Lines have formed around the block for just a taste of the sweet treat and now there are delivery services charging upwards of $100 to bring it straight to your door.
“Just the idea of a basic donut having a little more of that kind of succulent flakiness, a little more, you know, baked if you will. That combination of the dough and the baked flake is very intriguing to me,” Carson said Monday morning.
