George Zimmerman Juror Speaks To Anderson Cooper
Demonstrations have popped up around the nation, including right here in Los Angeles. Some have turned violent, leading to several arrests.
Monday night, Juror B37 spoke with Anderson Cooper about the controversial verdict.
“I think George Zimmerman is a man whose heart was in the right place, but just got displaced by the vandalism in the neighborhoods, and wanting to catch these people so badly that he went above and beyond what he really should have done,” she said.
“But I think his heart was in the right place. It just went terribly wrong,” she added.
According to Juror B37, the all-female jury initially came up with a split vote. Three voted guilty and the remaining three voted not guilty.
A literary agent for the juror had previously announced she would be writing a book about the case, but those plans were later scrapped after the interview aired.
