Royal Baby Watch: Kate Middleton Goes Into Labor!
UPDATED: After 14 hours of labor, The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have welcome their first child. At 4:24pm Kate had a natural delivery and gave birth to an 8 lbs, 6 oz baby boy.
Exciting news from across the pond.
The couple stealthily evaded the hordes of news crews waiting outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital.
We are still waiting to find out whether they will be welcoming a little prince or princess, but soon after the birth, its sex and birth weight will be displayed on an easel just inside the gates at Buckingham Palace. The baby’s name will be announced at a later time.
Grandmother Queen Elizabeth has returned to Buckingham Palace and will be one of the first people notified once the infant is safely delivered.
The child will be third in line to the throne, behind Prince Charles and father Prince William.
Palace officials say the Duchess’ labor is progressing normally, so it’s only a matter of time until the little one makes its official arrival!
