Most of us saw this coming a mile away, but it’s still a very sad story to report.

Authorities have placed actress Amanda Bynes on a 72-hour psychiatric hold after displaying some concerning behavior Monday night in Thousand Oaks.

According to TMZ, it all began yesterday when she was accused of trespassing at a retirement community. Someone kindly called her a taxi to escort her off the premises, but the driver refused to take her when she admitted she didn’t have any money.

When she returned to the retirement community, someone called the cops, but they released her without any incident.

A few hours later, she was allegedly spotted setting fire to a random person’s driveway. After sheriff’s deputies questioned her, they determined it was necessary to take her to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

This is latest in a serious of strange incidents involving the 27-year-old child star. She was previously arrested after allegedly throwing a bong out the window of her NYC apartment. She later accused the police of sexual assault.

A 5150 hold is a temporary, but involuntary hospitalization.

Britney Spears was also detained under a 5150 hold back in 2008. Her family eventually established a conservatorship to oversee her personal life and career.

Story developing…
