After four and half years, Carson has reached a major parenting milestone…
“Finally, after the pressure from his friends at school and driving by the Golden Arches and the TV commercials and everything, it finally happened where Jackson had his very first Happy Meal because of the deal McDonald’s did with Turbo, so he saw that he could get this toy.”
Yes! It was a pretty good run, but Carson’s son finally got a taste of some honest-to-goodness fast food.
They were running late and Jackson hadn’t eaten lunch, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a quick stop by the drive-thru.
And considering all the flack fast food chains are subject to these days, Carson was very impressed with the spread.
“The Happy Meal was fantastic! Very, very modest, little, delicious, warm cheeseburger, the smallest french fries you’ve ever seen in a little container. It was like Barbie-sized,” he described. “There was a bag of apples in there and they took the time to take the skin off the apples and my son was like, ‘Look, Daddy! No skin!'”
Jackson loved the meal, and of course, the free toy.
“I was like, ‘Thank you!'” Carson added. “It was like a commercial. I made a turn to a camera that wasn’t there and I went, ‘Thank you, McDonald’s.’ And I winked.”
