Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” Speech Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary

Here at AMP Radio, we’re all about having fun and playing the hits, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a quick moment to honor one of the most important events in American history.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream Speech.”

His powerful words were the driving force behind our nation’s Civil Rights Movement and still ring true half a century later.

President Obama will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March On Washington today (August 28) with a speech of his own at the Lincoln Memorial.

Former presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker, and Jamie Foxx will also attend today’s festivities.
