With all the bad press NYC mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner’s had to deal with lately, you’d think he’d be trying to keep a low profile.
Well that certainly wasn’t the case on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, one of the most important holidays on the Jewish calendar.
Weiner got into a tense shouting match with a fellow New Yorker inside a Jewish bakery after the heckler allegedly verbally attacked Wiener and made comments about his wife.
When Weiner heard the man call him a scumbag, he decided to confront him right then and there.
“Very nice, that’s a charming guy right there,” Weiner responded.
And to the surprise of no one, it all went downhill from there.
“You are disgusting, disgusting,” the man said.
“It takes one to know one, jacka**,” Weiner shot back.
Check out video of the altercation:
Weiner told his side of the story on Twitter:
New York City’s Democratic primary takes place this Tuesday.
