History Of The Guitar Solo: Surfer Stephen’s Viral Video Of The Day

I remember the first guitar lesson I ever took. This old dude sat down with me and thought it’d be great idea to shred a little bit just to prove himself to me, I guess, to show I picked the right instructor.

It was awkward, to say the least, as I sat there and watched some guy I’d never met before wail on his battle axe.

As a kid, I always wanted to play some sort of instrument, but it never seemed to work out because I didn’t have the money to buy one.

The main point of today’s Viral Video of the Day is that you should learn to play an instrument, if not to master the structure of music, how about just to score chicks or dudes? John Mayer, case in point!

Not only is playing an instrument fun, but it also helps kids in their studies, which in turn helps them become a better learner.

Today’s video takes us through the history of the guitar solo, from legends like Chuck Berry to Jimmy Hendrix, all the way up to some of today’s great guitarists like John Mayer and Jack White.

Most guitarists measure their ability on whether or not they can play Hendrix, as he still sets the bar for great guitar playing.

Learn an instrument and get the girl or guy by showing off your skills, or do it to increase your brain power…either way it’s a win-win for you!

Get your shred on for today’s Viral Video of the Day!

Also, check out a few different styles from Hendrix to Mayer to Tom Morello. There’s a bit of explicit language in Rage’s video though, so beware.
