From Carson Daly
The anonymous British street art vigilante who uses the city as his canvas to share his art is back in a different form.
Banksy has returned to New York for a month-long residency where he’s said to have many new projects going on.
Banksy was recently in the City of Angels where one piece he created was removed from a gas station wall and put on the auction block for a starting price of $300,000.
I guess if you think about it, he’s kind of the Robin Hood of art, leaving pieces around the city for hopefully somebody who needs the cash to find and sell it.
