How To Dress Like Miley Cyrus & Robin Thicke For Halloween
97.1 AMP Radio Halloween Masquerade is coming up and if you don’t have a costume idea yet, we’ve got you covered…barely. We predict that Miley Cyrus’ scandalous outfit paired with Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs will be one of the most popular couple costumes of the year–and one of the funniest if you pull it off right!
Twerking skills aren’t included, but you might want to learn from Miley’s mistakes and practice your moves.
Thicke’s costume is easy. First, you need a black button-up shirt, which most of you already have. Second, a pair of aviator sunglasses. These can be found on the cheap pretty much everywhere, but if you need a selection, head to Venice Beach.
Add black sneakers and a gold chain and the outfit is almost complete. The most pivotal part of the equation though? The striped suit. It seems like it would be hard to find, but all you have to do is internet search “Beetlejuice costume.” We’ve found examples here, here, and here. Just make sure you get the suit a little too tight, so that we can see all your manly goodies.
She’s just being Miley. But, if you aren’t afraid to be almost completely naked and twerk it out, you can be Miley for Halloween, too. First, let’s start with Miley’s beauty look. Whether your hair is short or long, you can pull off Miley’s Cynthia from Rugrats hair-style with two little side buns. The rest of your make-up should be glow-y, dewy, and natural, with your lips painted liberally in a bright red. We recommend MAC’s Ruby Woo for most skin tones and red lipstick beginners.
Nails can probably be whatever, but Miley’s are long and white, so snap on some falsies if you want to be super authentic. For accessories, Miley is wearing a rhinestone Chanel necklace that will probably break the bank and some white creepers. This rhinestone choker necklace from ASOS is on-sale and gives the same effect; you can also pick up your creepers from Miss KL. Of course, the most provocative part of Miley’s outfit is her nude latex undie set and your bear onesie.
The whole ensemble is easy to purchase through this site; it actually looks pretty authentic. And don’t forget your foam finger (which you can get here) and your obnoxious tongue action (genetics for extraordinary length not included). For those that don’t want to show off everything and want to stay warm, get this full body nude bodysuit for maximum coverage while still looking pretty naked.
