Hold on, we’re going Gaga. That’s the theme of the new track off ARTPOP featuring a verse from R. Kelly. The song was formerly introduced on a Best Buy commercial for Beats by Dre headphones last week, but now we’ve got the whole thing. It struts like Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and grabs some rumbling bass synths from Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own.”
The chops of the two vocalists are on full display, with Kells’ croon going into the atmosphere on his verse (on a “f***” no less), and Gaga going aggressive on the chorus, growling the words, “You can’t have my heart and/ You don’t own my mind but/ Do what you want with my body.”
Before the song hit iTunes, Gaga tweeted several pictures of her from the tabloids. With her body image always being manipulated across glossy mags, what’s more important to Gaga at this point?
