Carson Daly Reviews Eminem’s “Headlights”

Carson isn’t the only one geeking out about Eminem’s new album.

MMLP2 has four songs simultaneously charting in the top 20 of Billboard’s Hot 100. He’s only the sixth-ever artist to accomplish this feat and the last time this happened was all the way back in 1964 with The Beatles.

“It’s not that often when an album comes along that I’m that excited about,” Carson raved.

Yesterday, Carson began spotlighting some of his favorite tracks and decided to continue digging further into the album today.

He was particularly moved by track 15, “Headlights,” featuring fun.’s Nate Ruess.

“I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song where Eminem’s been more honest about his life and especially about Debbie Mathers, his mother, and that’s what this song is all about,” Carson explained. “It’s heavy duty.”
