Kids these days live in a digital world filled with their smartphones, iPads, Twitter, Facebook, iPods, and instant whatever they want at their fingertips.
When they want to get in touch with someone, they’re only a text message away and if they want to send something to that guy or girl they have a crush on, they don’t have to wait until Monday to see them at school.
One old school thing people did was make mixtapes. They could range from slow jams and summer jams to making one for your crush.
I personally tried to make probably a few mixtapes, but I’m such a music nerd and so analytical that I’d over-think it and just give up out of frustration.
It would take hours to get your playlist right and then make sure the time of that said playlist would fit on the cassette, hopefully you’d had 60 minutes to work with.
There’s still something great about the age before this digital world we find ourselves in. Things moved a bit slower, which would allow you use your brain to think a bit more and stop to smell the roses.
Get out of the digital world and leave your phone at home for a change. Who cares what’s happening in that world? It’s not real.
