Adam Levine Accepts His Sexiest Man Alive Award On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Our very own Carson made the big announcement Tuesday night that Adam Levine was dubbed People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, but The Voice coach officially accepted his award last night in hilarious, self-deprecating fashion on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“A lot of people trivialize this sort of thing. They say it’s shallow and think it’s just a media stunt used to sell magazines and perpetuate the image of Hollywood being based on looks. And that’s totally true,” he joked. “But I’m completely cool with that.”

Levine had many people to thank including his mom, dad, and another very sexy man.

Ryan Gosling for turning this down constantly. That really helped my campaign.”

After acknowledging his famous predecessors like George Clooney and Brad Pitt, he singled out People magazine’s 1992 pick.

“And finally, I’d like to thank — surprisingly, I’d like to thank Nick Nolte, People’s Sexiest Man Alive 1992. For making me feel like maybe, maybe this award wasn’t as out of reach as I might have once thought.”
