Earlier this week, we celebrated #GivingTuesday, but during this holiday season, there are plenty more opportunities to give back.
There are so many struggling families these days and Producer Angie highlighted one charity that’s devoted to making sure those living in local shelters will enjoy a happy holiday.
The Friends & Helpers 21st annual Adopt-A-Family program gets officially underway today.
With your donations, they provide gifts for each family member, stockings stuffed with goodies for the children, food gift cards, and everyday essentials.
This year, they’ve collected over 1,000 families’ wish lists and hope to compile enough gifts to fill 5,000 stockings.
Friends & Helpers are accepting donations today from 6pm-9pm at The MUCK at 1201 West Malvern Avenue in Fullerton and tomorrow from 3pm-8pm at 20240 East Cienega Avenue in Covina.
The charity has a whole list of suggested gifts, including, gift cards to grocery stores and department stores, brand new toys for children of all ages, movie theater tickets, toiletries, and make-up.
If you don’t have time to drop off a gift, a $25 donation at friendsandhelpers.org will provide a child or teen with a stocking filled with goodies and a gift card.
