Slow Motion Base Jumper: Surfer Stephen’s Viral Video Of The Day
I’ve always been a very calculated person when it comes to doing things that are a little tilted, or crazy for that matter.
I think it’s partially because I’m very analytical, so I’ll run through every possible scenario and calculate all the possibilities before I do something that’s pretty gnarly.
I remember the first time I paddled out into huge surf around 10 to 15 feet in Malibu. I was so scared I was peeing in my wetsuit!
It was a huge storm that started in Tahiti where a Code Red was issued. That same swell had such massive power that by the time it made it to the California coast, it was pumping.
That said, I’m not a fan of heights or rollercoasters and things like that. So, if you asked me to jump out of a plane, I’d say “Hell to the no!”
For today’s Viral Video of the Day, we’re going to check out a Base Jumper in Moab, Utah at a spot named “Wall Street.” It’s some pretty spectacular footage shot with his GoPro, which is set to the soundtrack of Awolnation’s hit song “Sail.”
Also, for the record, I think anything in slow motion with “Sail” as the soundtrack would look rad, but this is truly amazing!
While you’re at it, have a look at Billabong’s short film, “Code Red,” which documents that swell I mentioned earlier and see how some of these amazing athletes do what they love for a living.
