If you’re waiting to watch Tuesday night’s finale of The Voice on your DVR, sorry friend, but this is one big spoiler alert!
The odds were in Adam Levine’s favor, with two of his artists advancing to the final round.
His chances increased even more-so when Tessanne Chin topped the iTunes chart following Monday’s performances, so it comes as not much of a surprise that the Jamaican with a powerhouse voice took home the top honors last night.
There’s been rumors of a feud between the two divas for years, but the two ladies, who had never met until Tuesday, couldn’t have been more affectionate towards each other.
“I was really excited because The Voice called and said they wanted me to perform on the finale, and I obviously can’t refuse,” Mother Monster told Carson. “Such an amazing show! And I said I want to know if Christina wants to do it with me!”
“When I heard she wanted to collaborate, I said of course!” Aguilera chimed in. “She’s such an innovative artist and a risk taker. And as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that. And I just have to say guys, she’s the most down-to-earth real person I’ve met. So I love you girl, and you deserve everything you’ve earned.”
“I had never even heard this song from Paramore and the minute they did it in dress rehearsal, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I love that song!'” he said. “And Hayley [Williams] is just infectious to watch, one of the great front-people in music, man, woman, whatever. She’s awesome.”
