A Great Big World’s “Say Something” has to be the most depressing bummer of a song ever written!

I feel like it’s AMP Radio’s new song that we just can’t seem to shake, much like Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness,” who’s been sad since summer by the way and now it’s almost spring.

I have to blame our own Carson Daly for this one. I never watched TRL, but I know a lot of people blamed him for shoving pop music down the world’s throat and killing off alternative music on MTV.

After performing “Say Something” on The Voice with Christina Aguilera, the song reached a much larger audience and shot up the music charts. Thanks, Carson!

Well, the song has now reached our youth and it’s upsetting them! It’s the youth who are the future of our country, Carson, and look what you’ve done to them!

A Great Big World stopped in to visit the morning show here at AMP Radio awhile back and they couldn’t have been nicer guys, but where do we draw the line? Enough is enough. Please, world, stop playing this song…think of the kids!

The late great Whitney Houston said, “I believe the children are our future” and she was right.

Every time you play this song, a little kid cries.

It’s up to you to save the future for our younger generation. I ask you, please think before you press play…do it for the kids.
