For years, Kimmel’s had a running gag where he offers his apologies to the A-list actor for bumping him from his show’s line-up because they’ve run out of time.
Damon turned the tables on the comedian in a 2008 music video with Kimmel’s then-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, lovingly titled “I’m F*cking Matt Damon.”
Ever since then, it’s been an all-out war, including one night when Damon hijacked the entire show.
Well, Damon was finally able to secure a prime time appearance alongside his Monuments Men cast members, but if you thought Jimmy was going to let bygones be bygones, you’d be sorely mistaken.
When Damon asked for a chair to sit in, Guillermo brought him a child-sized seat.
Kimmel proceeded to ignore and chastise Damon for most of the interview, but when he finally asked Damon a legitimate question about the film, the fire alarm was conveniently set off and firefighters sprung into action, spraying the Oscar winner with some extinguishers.
