T-minus two days and counting until your former fave day of the week is overrun by Hallmark holiday enthusiasts.  Since being force-fed candy-coated hearts is not part of your pre-coachella cleanse, we’ve created a cardio-worthy anti-v-day playlist to counteract all of the unsolicited sweets & treats you’ll be exposed to. It also doubles as the perfect hate-stravaganza soundtrack.

‘Erase Me’ – Kid Cudi, Kanye West

The perfect track to ease you into an intense anti-everything-love-related mood.  Funk-laden hip hop broaching the subject of unrequited love and all it entails, complete with a slap-in-the-face last line.  Cudi and West are successfuly rolling pen-is-mightier-than-the-sword style.

‘Without You’ – Dillon Francis ft. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

This electro groove infused track is the perfect tune to continue easing you into the anti-state of mind.  The self-reflective lyrics are all about realizing when one and one aren’t meant to be two-gether.

‘F For You’ – Disclosure ft. Mary J. Blige

Disclosure teams up with the no-stranger-to-heartbreak Mary J. Blige to discuss one of the most relatable speed bumps on the road to heartache- being fooled by someone you love.  This is the song to groove to when kicking out your now former flame.  Turn it UP.

‘Dancing On My Own’ – Robyn

Looking to meet your daily cardio requirement by way of revenge aerobics?  This is your jam.  The electro dance-charged track is all about uncertainty, lack of understanding, and falling hopelessly under the radar- but who cares. You’re too busy dancing.

‘Shame On Me’ – Avicii

A modern day electro twist on this throwback song style, this is an immediate shimmy & shake-inducing type of track.  If you’re going to accept responsibility for your wayward relationship, you might as well be able to dance to it.

‘Bounce’ – Calvin Harris ft. Kelis

Rounding out the short & sweet playlist is this self-emancipation anthem.  Turn it on, turn it up, and celebrate your new found freedom by drowning out everything else going on around you.  Dancing is the only way to get through TGIF: The V-Day Edition.
