The Cronut craze started last year, and hasn’t seemed to let up since then. If you aren’t familiar with the famous dessert, it’s a hybrid of a donut and a croissant created by famed pastry chef Dominque Ansel.

He first started serving them in his New York bakery, and when he revealed his creation it started a frenzy in the foodie community. Lines continue to be down the block to get your hands on the delicious treat, and for one day only, you can get them here in LA from the chef himself.

In celebration of the Oscars this weekend, Chef Ansel is coming to Barneys New York at The Grove for an L.A pop up shop. You can buy them on Saturday from 10am – 2pm, or until they sell out, which is likely to be VERY fast.

While there have been several other Cronut type desserts sold in the area, this will be the first time you can buy the official dessert in LA.

You might want to sleep at The Grove if they’ll let you line up the night before, we have a feeling this is going to get crazy.
