Shakira and Usher may have taken a season off from The Voice, but they wasted no time getting back into the swing of things during last night’s season six premiere.

Following a brief group performance, all four coaches settled into their big, red chairs to duke it out during the blind auditions.

Everyone’s gunning for Adam Levine this time, since he was the last to win the Emmy Award-winning singing competition with contestant Tessanne Chin.

Which singers earned a 4-chair turn? Is there trouble in paradise for the Adam/Blake bromance? Take a listen to Carson Daly’s recap:

For Carson, it was all about the bookends of the episode. Strong opening and closing auditions set the tone for this season’s competition.

“Some really strong acts came out,” he said. “Christina Grimmie, who opened it up from Jersey, did that Miley Cyrus. [It] was a big number.”

Monday’s premiere ended on a high note with the incredible Bria Kelly.

“The blues girl, 17-years-old! Carson exclaimed. “All four coaches were on their feet for that last one.”

“That girl blew me away,” Producer Angie agreed. “You know when people say old soul? I don’t believe that until this girl starts singing. That girl is like 60!

Stay tuned for even more blind auditions tonight at 8pm PT on NBC!
