As much as older people may mock our generation’s vanity (hey, we love ourselves, alright!), the selfie is here to stay.
The word was added to the Oxford English Dictionary last November and Time Magazine recently did a study about where people are most likely to tag their Instagram pictures with #selfie. There’s even an awesome song about it by the Chainsmokers.
That doesn’t even include all the untagged selfies, of which our collective Instagram feeds at AMP Radio boast a lot.
The selfie capital of the world is Makati City in the Phillipines, with 258 selfie takers for every 100,000 people.
Not shockingly, two denizens of Southern California tied at number four on the selfie meter: Santa Ana and Anaheim.
Here’s the list of the “selfiest” cities.
Maybe if we owned up to our selfie action more often, next time Southern California could come in at number one? Hey, if there’s anything we are good at, it’s looking fierce.

4. Anaheim and Santa Ana, Calif.
