Every morning, Producer Angie brings you three things you need to know. These are important news stories that are making the rounds, and a quick update on things going on in the world.

Here’s what she broke down today.

1) UConn beats Kentucky in men’s NCAA basketball championship game – Last year the Huskies were barred from March Madness because of grade problems. This year, they’re the NCAA national champions.

2) Peaches Geldof found dead – The sudden and unexpected death of the 25 year old model, writer and TV personality shocked the news world yesterday.

3) Man with “complaint” shoots officer in LAPD West Traffic Division – A desk officer was shot seven times Monday night after a man opened fire in the lobby of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division in Mid-City.
