By Caitlyn Trudnich
It’s hard to believe that DJ/musician/producer extraordinaire Tiesto hasn’t put out an album in five years. Since his last studio album release, Kaleidoscope in 2009, Tiesto has been very present in the music world – both EDM and pop! He has released several compilations, including a greatest hits album, and several Club Life compilations. He is always present touring, including holding residencies and Las Vegas hotspots Wet Republic and Hakkasan, and scheduled to appear at this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival in New York. Most recently, his remix of John Legend‘s “All Of Me” is a favorite on the Amp Radio Playlist!
Now, Tiesto has decided to release his next studio album, A Town Called Paradise, on June 16th! The first song released off the album, “Red Lights,” has already been climbing up the Billboard charts, and garnered fans anticipation for the upcoming new music!
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Tiesto explained the inspiration and overall feel of the album, saying, “When I really look at it, it’s like this oasis of entertainment right in the middle of the desert, so to me, ‘A Town Called Paradise‘ is a good way to describe Las Vegas. It’s been a very special place to me and has influenced the creation of this album.”
Tiesto has also given fans another sneak peek into the upcoming album, releasing his second single, “Wasted,” featuring Matthew Koma.
