3D Printed Makeup: Print Your Own Custom Colors at Home
If you’ve never heard of 3D printing, let’s quickly bring you up to speed.
There are machines currently in the market where you can literally print items at home. They can range from small toys, to household items, really whatever is available to download and then print.
But now, there’s something even better. Because really, who cares about little toys when you can apparently PRINT YOUR OWN MAKEUP!!
A woman named Grace Choi created the product called Mink, and it will retail for $300 when it hits the market. This may sound like a lot, but when you think of how much you spend on make up over the years, with a lot of retailers having very limited color selections, it’s worth it. Plus, you can create colors that NOBODY ELSE HAS.
“The makeup industry makes a whole lot of money on a whole lot of bulls—,” Choi said according to Business Insider. “They charge a huge premium on something that tech provides for free. That one thing is color.”
Just like Photoshop, you can literally find ANY color on ANY picture, and grab the hex code (aka: the number/letter combination that represents a color) and boom. You can print that EXACT color into a makeup form.
