Carson Daly & Producer Angie Dissect The Jay Z/Solange Elevator Attack Video
“That was their way of saying, ‘Whatever you think that was, isn’t about us as a couple,'” Carson said.
“Jay Z would’ve been more physical, you know, in a verbal way to defend himself with his arms and ‘What are you talking about? You’re wrong!’ There was no protest.”
And what about Beyoncé’s reaction? There is no audio from the incident, but she doesn’t appear to get physically involved in the scuffle.
“If my sister had a beef with my wife and I thought my sister was way out of line,” Carson said. “I’m going to do something physically where you’re going to know that my body language is telling you you’re out of line. You have no reason to say these things and leap and lunge and Beyoncé didn’t do any of that.”
“She seemed like someone who has seen this from her sister before,” Producer Angie chimed in.
Solange also allegedly fought with designer Rachel Roy earlier in the evening and some are reporting that Jay Z stepped in to diffuse the situation. Carson argued that something as benign as that could have ignited the brawl.
“With a couple of drinks, it could be that simple,” he said.
“It’s not our business. It was a very private moment that nobody should see,” Angie added. “It could have been one of those stupid nights that they probably forgot about the next morning. Unfortunately, this video got out.”
