The Voice Precap: Carson Daly Shares Finale Night Details!
After months of blind auditions, battle rounds, and live performance, the finale of The Voice is finally here!
Following last week’s cutthroat elimination, only Team Adam’s Christina Grimmie, Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman, and Team Blake’s Jake Worthington remain.
Who will be crowned the winner by our very own Carson Daly? We’ll have to wait and see, but our host with the most whetted our appetite this morning sharing what the show has in store for today and tomorrow.
Each artist will perform three songs: one brand new pick, one duet with their coach, and one fan pick from earlier this season.
“For instance, Christina Grimmie is going to sing ‘Wrecking Ball’ from Miley, which was her blind audition song,” Carson revealed. “She only sang 90 seconds of it, but murdered it.”
He also calls tonight’s show one of the strongest of all season thanks to to the sheer number of performances.
Christina Grimmie and coach Adam Levine will be performing “Somebody That I Used To Know,” Jake and Blake Shelton have lined up a Hank Williams duet, and Josh and Usher will take on The Police’s “Every Breath You Take.”
The coaches may be competing against each other, but they’re also teaming up for a couple of memorable performances. Shakira and Blake will sing their collaboration “Medicine” and Adam and Usher will join forces on a D’Angelo song.
“I’ve never seen Adam and Usher perform,” he said. “But I guarantee you that’s going to be awesome.”
