DJ Hodor of ‘Game of Thrones’ Plots ‘Rave of Thrones’ Australian Tour
Already the most popular show in the history of HBO, the influence of medieval science-fantasy epic Game of Thrones has hit the dance floor thanks to Irish actor Kristian Nairn, best known for portraying show character, Hodor.
Nairn has been a resident DJ at Belfast’s club Kremlin for more than 10 years, so he’s hardly jumping on the celebrity DJ bandwagon. He eschews the commercial end of EDM to spin deep house tracks, which can be heard in his DJ mix below (via Soundcloud).
He’s also not afraid to capitalize on the heightened profile that comes with being associated with Game of Thrones, plotting a six-city Australian DJ jaunt cheekily coined in honor of the show.
“Hodor’s dedication to carrying Bran on his back has become legend but what is less well known is how much he enjoys carrying the party vibes long into the night,” states the tour press release. “An established DJ in his homeland, Hodor of House Stark will be showcasing some of the deepest house from all seven kingdoms at his very own Rave Of Thrones.”
The tour kicks off in Sydney on Aug. 28, winding across the country before winding up in Adelaide on Sept. 7.
