Kobe Bryant may be one of the NBAs most infamously popular basketball players, but will make time for a worthy cause.
The Lakers star joined a peace walk for Trayvon Martin this weekend at Crenshaw High School.
The walk coincided with the anniversary of George Zimmerman’s murder acquittal for killing the young man.
Bryant spoke to the attendees which included Martin’s parents and rapper Nipsey Hussle.
“Players such as myself and others who have the platform, our responsibility is more than putting the ball in the basket but helping them have the platform [to tell their story],” said Bryant after praising Martin’s parents.
