Carson Daly Nominated For ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Most things that go viral are funny, weird, and pointless, but the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge aims to change that.

You’ve probably seen your friends posting videos of themselves dumping buckets of ice water on their heads and here’s why.

It’s a campaign to raise awareness for ALS, also known Lou Gehrig’s Disease. When you’re nominated by a friend, you’re supposed to either endure an ice shower within 24 hours or donate money to the ALS Association, however, many candidates end up posting the video AND giving money to the cause.

Last month, Carson helped douse his buddy Matt Lauer and now his fellow TODAY show co-anchor Natalie Morales called him out to take the challenge.

Carson has a crazy, jam-packed schedule over the next few days with The Voice filming, but he’s already come up with a great concept for his ice bucket video. Take a listen:
