We’re feeling like a kid on Christmas morning because guess what?! Football is FINALLY back!
The first regular NFL season game kicks off tonight in Seattle, but since Carson’s a die hard Oakland Raiders fan, he’s already getting prepared for Sunday’s match-up against the New York Jets.
In fact, he’s hosting a #SundayFunday brunch at his home in New York and desperately needed some ideas for throwing a party with plenty of West Coast flavor.
Carson figured the early kickoff was a perfect opportunity to set up one of his specialties: a Bloody Mary bar. Tortilla chips, guacamole, and salsa are no-brainers, so the rest of us morning show staffers chipped in a few more suggestions, which included lots of grilling and Mexican beer!
“Foodwise,” she continued. “It’s the easiest dip ever. It’s the Rotel dip. It’s just Rotel and Velveeta…you just put that in a crock pot and it makes amazing queso.”
Phone Op Christen’s father is legendary here at AMP for his marinated hangar steak tacos, which Carson can easily whip up on the grill. She suggests pairing that delicious dish with some micheladas, a beer cocktail made with lime juice, spices, and tomato juice.
And if you want to really want to pump up the party with some LA flavor, I suggested grilling corn on the cob and spicing it up with lime juice, chili powder, and cotija cheese.
