The internet has been abuzz with people talking about the new, hyper funkadelic new track from Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars.

It’s called ‘Uptown Funk,’ and it’s awesome.

If you haven’t heard it yet, you can listen here.

How do you think the club scene is going to react to this track?

If you can’t dance to this or you can’t feel it…there’s kind of something wrong with you. I mean, I understand the EDM and all this progressive house stuff with those big synths, it makes you feel this powerful emotion on the dance floor. There also has to be room for something else, there has to be room for live musicians and human feeling in music. At the end of the date it’s just a hard form of a drum beat but just played by Bruno [Mars] so there’s nothing about this that you shouldn’t be able to just get out and dance and be heard.

You’ll be playing SNL soon, how did that come together?

They heard the song. They loved it. I think the last time Bruno was on TV he played this little thing called the Super Bowl. So I think a lot of people know he’s a great performer. That’s definitely one of the advantages of having like the worlds biggest male pop stars on your song is that you get to play things like SNL. But it’s really because they loved the song and it really lends itself to a great live performance.

Does this mean a new album is coming soon?

Yes! The album is called ‘Uptown Special’ and it will be out early next year.
