Does it really come as a surprise that going to IKEA can be hazardous to a happy relationship?
It’s overwhelming! You practically cover a half marathon winding your way through the maze, then there are so many options to choose from, and don’t even get us started on how to put together the furniture.
But now clinical psychologist is confirming the obvious.
“The store literally becomes a map of a relationship nightmare,” psychologist Ramani Durvasula told The Wall Street Journal.
Why? Because walking through IKEA can stir up touchy topics, such as who bears the brunt of cooking, cleaning, and caring for children. Heck! Even just going through the children’s section can cause young couples to fight over whether or not they want to have babies in the future.
