It’s wedding season, which means you’re probably spending most of your weekends catching bouquets and eating those Jordan almond favors!
But there’s a lot work that goes into the making of an epic wedding and the soundtrack definitely plays a major role.
Spotify recently revealed the top songs couples choose for their first dance and it’s a solid mix of classic and contemporary.
Carson Daly DJed many a wedding back in the day, so you best believe he had some thoughts about Spotify’s top five! Take a listen:
“Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran
Carson: “Yeah, sure!”
“At Last” by Etta James
Carson: “I was a DJ at too many weddings not to know this one!”
“You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne
Carson: “Also a little fast to slow dance too, a little bit! You know how you and I have that list of things about people we don’t trust? I don’t trust anybody that doesn’t like Ray LaMontagne. How could you not?!”
“All Of Me” by John Legend
Carson: “That’s a good one!”
“A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri
Carson: “That’s a chick song, number one. Number two, it’s almost got a little too much tempo to be a good first dance. I mean, it’s a good song, but it’s [not slow enough] for a guy.”
