Nintendo To Release The NES Classic Edition, Packed With 30 Retro Games!

By Carlos Delgado

It’s back! The console that almost single-handedly created the home video gaming market will be re-tooled and re-released!

Earlier today (July 14), Nintendo of America tweeted out this picture:

But Nintendo isn’t selling the 30 year old console with decades old technology. The mini NES Classic edition will be upgraded with an HDMI output (no more screwdrivers, rabbit ears, or tuning to channel 3), come with one retro controller, be pre-loaded with 30 games, and, as you can see, fit in the palm of your hand!

It’s hard to overstate the impact the original NES system had on gaming back in the 80s. Other game consoles such as the had Atari already existed, but it was the NES that firmly established the home gaming console market with legendary titles like Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and so many more!
