Some Evacuation Orders Lifted While Firefighters Battle Blue Cut Fire

PHELAN (CBSLA.com) — Some residents who were evacuated due to a massive wildfire burning near Devore were allowed to return home Friday.

Evacuation orders were lifted in South Hesperia, East Oak Hills and West Oak Hills Thursday night.

At this time, the Blue Cut Fire continues to burn across 37,000 acres in the San Bernardino Mountains, and remains at 26 percent containment.

Firefighters have focused their efforts to the Wrightwood and Lydle Creek communities where flames continue to threaten homes.
