The MTV Video Music Awards go down this weekend and in anticipation of the big day, Rolling Stone has released a list of the wildest moments in the award show’s history.
Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech? Insane. Britney Spears and Madonna making out in front of the entire world? Epic.
Something crazy seems to go down every single year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us Sunday night.
We just so happen to work with someone VERY familiar with the VMAs — Carson Daly!
He attended the event for several years and was a part of some memorable moments of his own.
“MTV started during the VMAs just giving me a hot microphone,” he explained. “So, many VMAs I’m sitting in the audience with a microphone that, if something goes wrong, it was like, ‘Let’s just go to Carson.’ I’m like the designated driver of the network…We never had to do that except once when the bass player, Brad, for Rage Against the Machine climbed the scaffolding.”
Earlier this morning, Carson shared his take on all the drama and most buzzed-about performances.
