POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Fried food, farm animals and fun – it’s time for the LA County Fair.
The fair opens Friday at noon at the Fairplex in Pomona and goes through Sept. 25. For the Labor Day weekend, the fair is open until midnight Friday, opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but closes Monday at 10 p.m.
New attractions include an ice skating rink called The Igloo, a dinosaur exhibition called Jurassic Planet and “Our Body,” an educational exhibit using actual human bodies and organs. These attractions cost an extra $5.
But there are plenty of other attractions included with fair admission, including the National Parks Museum, a historic trains exhibit and “The Farm”, where children can learn more about growing food, healthy eating and urban gardening.
