Sunday was the final Stage (Stage 8) of the AMGEN Tour of California in Thousand Oaks. What started in Sacramento, CA came to an exciting finish of the 710.2 mile race with Bradley Wiggins of Team Sky from Great Britain taking first place.
Cycling fans of all ages came out to take part in the festivities that ranged from the race itself to the Lifestyle Festival booth area and the main stage with entertainment.
Also on site was the Amgen Breakaway From Cancer photo booth. This is where I spent the morning helping take photos to create the world’s largest cancer support team through social media #breakaway. The goal is to increase awareness of important resources available to people affected by cancer – from prevention through survivorship.
